Alpine Distilling releases second generation of St. Regis Barrel Select Gin
PARK CITY, Utah — Alpine Distilling released the second generation of its exclusive St. Regis Barrel Select Gin. This 600-bottle release is aged for two and a half years in American oak barrels and has a rich caramel color.
The gin is a blend of several ingredients sourced from around the world, including juniper berries (Croatia), coriander seed (Egypt), cardamom (Guatemala), angelica root (France), orris root (Morocco), lemon peel (United States), and coffee beans (Brazil and Nicaragua).
“The Barrel Select Gin is a world-class, award-winning spirit that blends the beauty of the Wasatch Mountains and the unmatched luxury offered by the St. Regis Deer Valley and the adventurous innovation of Alpine Distilling. The considerable time Alpine Distilling invested in the botanical blend and distillation process, combined with two and a half years of aging before bottling, ensures a showcase gin. Enjoy Barrel Select Gin as a neat sipper, over ice, as an Old Fashioned, a French 75, or an original creation,” said Sara Sergent, co-founder and co-owner of Alpine Distilling.
The aging process adds a slightly tannic note to the gin and reveals a complex sweetness.
The St. Regis Barrel Select Gin is bottled in American oak barrels and cut with reverse-osmosis deionized water, which adds a slightly tannic note for a drier finish. The gin is OU Kosher Certified and naturally gluten-free. It received the Gold Medal from the London Women’s Wine & Spirits Awards.
The St. Regis Barrel Select Gin is priced at $365 for 750 mL and is available at the resort’s dining venues, including St. Regis Bar, RIME, La Stellina, Brasserie 7452, and Astor Bar. Resort guests can purchase St. Regis Barrel Select Gin directly via in-room dining.
Alpine Distilling has earned numerous awards for its gins, including Gin of the Year in London and Best Craft Gin from USA Today four times.
