Megan McKenna files candidacy for Summit County Council seat
'I believe in the democratic process and am committed to using my passion, experience, and skill to serve Summit County into the future,' McKenna said.
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah – Megan McKenna has officially filed her candidacy for the 2024 Summit County Council election, joining Thomas Cooke and Cami Richardson in the race for a County Council seat.
McKenna is a Summit County native, and graduated from Park City High School where she eventually worked as a teacher. McKenna has advocated for more local and affordable housing, and is driven to address housing issues and promote a more sustainable future for Summit County.
“I’m committed to a future-forward platform focused on responsible growth, sustainability, affordability, and regional collaboration,” McKenna said.
If elected, McKenna will focus on responsible growth and land use, implement policies that improve the current and future resident experience, and create an inclusive community in Summit County.
With a focus on collaboration, McKenna aims to enhance business, non-profit, and government partnerships if elected, seeking to develop solutions for county-wide challenges.
McKenna believes that governmental collaboration is the pathway to ensuring sustainable, affordable, vibrant, and interconnected communities into the future.
“I believe in the democratic process and am committed to using my passion, experience, and skill to serve Summit County into the future,” McKenna said.
McKenna has filed to run as a Democrat for the open Summit County Council seat C.
