Deer Valley announces return of seafood buffet-style dining and a new themed cocktail bar
'We’ve been hard at work to develop a bunch of really exciting offerings this season,' says Musyt. 'I’m ready to see it all come to life for our guests.'
PARK CITY, Utah — Deer Valley Resort announced an exciting lineup of new food and beverage offerings for the 23/24 winter season, including a fresh take on a beloved seafood staple and a vintage ski-themed cocktail bar.
Led by Jacob Musyt, Deer Valley’s vice president of food & beverage operations, these new updates pay homage to Deer Valley’s vibrant history and traditions through an innovative approach to food, beverage, and design.
“We’ve been hard at work to develop a bunch of really exciting offerings this season,” says Musyt. “I’m ready to get things open and see it all come to life for our guests.”
Seafood Dining at Cast & Cut
One of the biggest announcements is the return of Deer Valley’s iconic seafood buffet-style dining at Cast & Cut. While embracing much of the original experience, Musyt and the team have also incorporated a few exciting tweaks to create a dynamic, sophisticated fresh take. Guests will enjoy a bounty of sustainably-sourced seafood across raw bars, paellas, pastas, chowders, poke stations, and more, as well as a gourmet carving station with rotating selections to pair with your meal. To round out the experience, the team is also introducing an all-new wine and cocktail program developed by Director of Beverage, Josh Hockman.

Ski-Themed Cocktail Bar Opens at Royal Street Cafe + Bar, the Sticky Wicket
Step back in time and immerse yourself into the ski culture of the 70s and 80s in this new 21+ themed cocktail bar. Located on the second floor of Royal Street Cafe, Musyt says this design-forward concept – led by design firm Studio K – will embrace the energy, color, and spirit of the era. The space incorporates vintage footage from celebrated filmmaker Warren Miller and additional vintage decor sourced by Mountain Gazette editor Mike Rogge. Craft cocktails, an absinthe bar, shotskis, and wide draft beer selection build the beverage menu and the dining menu encourages sharing with sandwiches, seafood plates, and appetizers like sticky-finger brisket fries.
New Beer and Coffee Offerings Resort-Wide
Deer Valley also announced an expansion of their beer selection across the mountain, including new beer on tap at Cushing’s Cabin. Guests will also be able to enjoy coffee from La Colombe at Cushing’s Cabin and Deer Valley Etc, which has been transformed into a cafe concept in its original location at Snow Park Plaza.
Creative Academy Unveils Winter Programming
Deer Valley’s creative hub is offering a number of new culinary and crafting experiences. Family-friendly events include cooking classes to make your version of Deer Valley classics like carrot cake and turkey chili, as well as gingerbread house decorating classes with Deer Valley’s pastry pros. For the adults, a Build Your Board class is a perfect date night experience and a sparkling wine night with Director of Beverage, Josh Hockman, will offer bubbly sips from France, Italy, Spain, and America.
