‘Twas the week before Christmas on the Town Lift
In true Park City fashion, Santa took his annual ride down the Town Lift to spread holiday cheer to children of all ages.
‘Twas the week before Christmas in Park City, a sight,
As Santa swapped his sleigh for a chairlift, in the moon’s gentle light
The Town Lift, adorned in a festive array,
Twinkled like stars, guiding St. Nick on his way
With a hearty “Ho Ho Ho” and a twinkle in his eye,
Santa called to his team, under the starlit sky
“Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and Vixen, On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen!”
The town below slumbered, peaceful and still,
Unaware of the magic on the snow-covered hill
As the chairlift descended, Santa peered down below,
His heart full of joy at the holiday glow
At the base, Santa disembarked with great care,
His red suit aglow in the crisp mountain air
Children, awoken by dreams of this scene,
Rubbed their eyes, wondering if it were just a dream
But no, there he was! Santa, in all his fame,
Greeting each child warmly, calling them by name
Gifts were given, laughter shared, in the night’s embrace,
Each child’s eyes lit up, a smile on their face
For Santa, this journey was a delightful change,
Riding the Town Lift, across the mountain range
And as dawn approached, with the first light of day,
He whispered to his team, “It’s time to sleigh away”
With a final wave, Santa vanished from sight,
Leaving memories of magic, on this special night
And the children of Park City would always remember with glee,
The year Santa visited, in a way so unique and free
So if you ever visit Park City, look to the skies,
You might just see Santa, and hear his joyful cries
For in this mountain town, where the snowflakes drift,
Christmas magic comes alive, especially on the Town Lift
