RFK Jr. brings his campaign for president to Salt Lake City this week

Kennedy recently claimed that 'WiFi radiation ... could be causing autism, eczema, asthma and other chronic illnesses' and that 'atrazine in the water supply' is causing more children to identify as transgender. None of his claims are supported by evidence.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will appear at a rally at a nightclub in Salt Lake City this week.

Kennedy will be at Sky SLC, 149 W. Pierpoint Ave., Salt Lake City, on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 4;30 to 6:30 p.m., according to the candidate’s website.

The candidate is trying to gather enough signatures to get on the ballot in Utah for the 2024 presidential election.

Before becoming an independent, Kennedy took a stab at campaigning as an insurgent Democrat.

He has been an outspoken opponent of vaccines, including Covid vaccines. He also recently claimed that “WiFi radiation … could be causing autism, eczema, asthma and other chronic illnesses,” and that “atrazine in the water supply” is causing more children to identify as transgender.

None of his claims are supported by evidence.

Kennedy also has been a sharp critic of President Joe Biden. Yet Donald Trump Jr. recently told campaign volunteers for his father that he believed Kennedy, as an independent candidate, is “a Democrat plant” to hurt Trump senior, saying Kennedy “wouldn’t be there if the Democrats didn’t want him.”

In an an interview with CBS’ Norah O’Donnell on Friday, Sen. Mitt Romney said he thinks independent candidates such as Kennedy are likely to hurt Biden and re-elect Trump.

Kennedy recently said his most important issues are “the wars” and “the destruction of the middle class in this country, the price of housing particularly.”
