PARK CITY, Utah — The Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter will revisit the Parley’s Canyon Fire, which burned 541 acres, two years later in a two-part interactive event entitled Life After Wildfire.
During the webinar on Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., participants will hear from wildland fire expert J. Bradley Washa, who was involved in the management of the Parley’s Canyon Fire. He will discuss the fire management strategies used and share findings from the site.
On Thursday, Oct. 5, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., participants can join a hike to the burn scar and observe firsthand the impacts of the fire and the regeneration that has taken place since.
The event is pay-what-you-wish. Registration is required.
