13th Annual Live PC Give PC, annual giving day for Park City nonprofits, Nov. 3
PARK CITY, Utah — Get ready for the 13th annual Live PC Give PC, the day of community giving in Summit County and Park City on Friday, Nov. 3.
Following last year’s raising of $5.2 million from over 6,600 donors, the Park City Community Foundation aims to engage 7,000 unique donors to support 122 local and statewide nonprofits. Whether you’re a primary resident, a second homeowner, or simply someone who loves spending time in Summit County, you’re encouraged to be part of the giving day.
It’s not just about raising funds online. Live PC Give PC will also feature in-person celebrations and a variety of activities for everyone in the community. By participating, you contribute to addressing economic disparities in Summit County and strengthening the community as a whole. From social services and education to health care, animal welfare, trails, environmental efforts, and cultural and recreational programs, these nonprofits positively impact community life.
“Live PC Give PC has become a highly anticipated, inspiring day of community spirit with a passionate show of support for Summit County’s nonprofits. Our dynamic nonprofits impact the lives of virtually everyone who lives in or visits Summit County, and this is a fun and fulfilling way to support them,” says Park City Community Foundation President and CEO Joel Zarrow in a press release. “Since 2011, more than $26 million dollars has been raised. While the fundraising totals are impressive, Park City Community Foundation’s true barometer of success is the number of individuals who donate, which is why we hope to move the needle to 7,000 unique contributors this year.”
Nonprofits will be competing for an additional $35,000 in prize money. The Park City Community Foundation will be granting cash prizes sponsored by Park City Mountain to the top three nonprofits in each of six broad mission-based areas that receive the most unique donors. Repeat donors who generously contributed last year will have their donations boosted by $10.
The minimum donation amount is just $5. Many organizations also offer matching grants, which means your contribution could be doubled.
Two events for the community to come together and celebrate are taking place this year.
Giving Day Fest will be held at the Park City Library from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., a family-friendly event with live music, free tacos, hot chocolate, face-painting and games. And for the night owls, from 8 p.m. to midnight, head over to the party at High West Saloon. Live PC Give PC participants and the public who are 21 and over are invited to enjoy the festivities, celebrate and keep an eye on the leader board.
