City Park gets upgrades from Park City Recreation

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Recreation shared two updates to recreation improvement projects on Friday.

As part of the City Park lights project, Park City recreation has updated the ’80s-era lighting at City Park with new International Dark Sky compliant lights.

“The new cutting-edge lights adhere to the International Dark Sky Standards, enhancing playing experience while reducing their impact on the night skies and neighboring homes,” said a statement from Park City Recreation. “We’re thrilled to share that the project is progressing ahead of schedule, and we anticipate reopening as early as this weekend (Sept. 23-24)!”

To address weather related damages at the Park City tennis courts, Park City Recreation is currently installing fresh fencing along the outfield and working to repair court dividers.

“We appreciate your patience during these improvements, and we’re committed to providing our community with top-notch amenities,” said a statement from Park City Recreation. “Thank you for your ongoing support!”
