2023 Tour des Suds set to roll through Park City September 10
PARK CITY, Utah —Since 1992, the Mountain Trails Foundation has been on a mission to transform Park City’s trail system.
Back then, the town had only a handful of hand-cut trails confined to private land. Fast forward to today, and you’ll witness a remarkable change in the landscape. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the foundation, Park City now boasts over 400 miles of non-motorized trails that stretch seamlessly across the region.
This success story is a testament to the power of teamwork and a thriving community. The trail system is unlike any other, offering an unrivaled experience for outdoor enthusiasts. And what better way to celebrate the vibrant mountain bike season than with the Tour des Suds?
The Tour des Suds is an exhilarating 7-mile mountain bike climb presented by Level Crossing Brewery that starts at City Park, 1354 Park Avenue and ends at the top of Guardsman Pass on September 10, at 10 a.m. The demanding ascent of 2,700′ straight up to the finish line is where the Skullcandy Party Station awaits. As a reminder, no e-bikes are allowed.
Participants are encouraged to get creative and don festive costumes to mark the beginning of the fall mountain bike season. It’s all about the spirit and celebrating in style. Expect crazy costumes and crazy bikes, as this event promises a lively and engaging atmosphere. And as a bonus, all racers will receive a pair of socks, a meal ticket, and a choice of beer or non-alcoholic beverage to quench their thirst.
