Friday, June 30
Driving Under the Influence
The complainant reported that a construction truck had collided with his vehicle near Old Ranch Road Trailhead in Synderville. He reported that he and the driver of the other vehicle had began to exchange information, but the complainant suspected the driver of the other vehicle was under the influence and asked for deputies to respond. Deputies responded to the scene and located the suspect a short distance away from the original accident, in his vehicle, and wrecked into a ditch. The suspect performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving under the influence. He was additionally charged with possession of a THC vape pen, and open container.
Wednesday, July 5
Vehicle Burglary
Deputies responded to a call near Run-a-Muk dog park for a vehicle burglary incident. The complainant reported that his window on his Ford Bronco had been broken out and a purse removed from inside the vehicle. No suspect information was obtained and Deputies were unable to locate any suspicious vehicles in the area around time of occurrence.
Possession of Methamphetamine
Deputies apprehended a vehicle near Fresh Market for a traffic violation. A K-9 was deployed on the vehicle and displayed a positive alert to the presence of the odor of narcotics. A vehicle search revealed paraphernalia and user amounts of methamphetamine. The suspect was taken to the Summit County Jail and booked on possession of schedule I,II and paraphernalia. The vehicle was impounded by Park City Towing.
Monday, July 10
Warrant of Arrest
Deputies responded to a welfare check on a male sitting on a bench outside Walmart late at night. After identifying the male, it was discovered he had active felony warrants out of Tooele. He was arrested by Summit County Sheriffs several times for these warrants but had been released. Deputies transported him to Saltair where Tooele County Sheriffs took custody of him.
Thursday, July 13
Search and Rescue
Search and Rescue was notified of a medical incident near the Dollar Lake area. Dispatch received a call from a Garmin device about an 18-year-old male suffering from altitude sickness. Life flight was dispatched to the coordinates and was able to transport the victim to Uintah Basin Medical Center.
Friday, July 14
Vehicle Burglary
Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle burglary near Rocky Point Preserve. The complainant reported that an unknown person entered their vehicle sometime in the early morning and stole approximately $1,600 worth of stereo equipment. The victim further reported seeing a blue Tacoma with local temp tags leaving the area and believes the occupants may have been involved. This case is closed pending further investigative leads.
Retail Theft
Deputies responded to a report of retail theft at Kamas Food Town. The suspect had been detained by the store prior to the Deputies arrival. Following an investigation, the suspect was arrested for two incidents of retail theft that occurred on July 13 and 14. The suspect was transported to the Summit County Jail without incident.
Sunday, July 16
Search and Rescue
At approximately 7 p.m., Search and Rescue responded to an injured mountain biker near Three Kings Trail. The Park City Fire Department and Back Country response team all responded to the call, and were able to transport the injured biker off of the mountain via an off-roading vehicle. The patient was treated at the scene and then transported to the hospital in stable condition.
