Brighton breaks new ground with Dopplemayr’s first D-line six person lift in Utah
BRIGHTON, Utah—In a pioneering move, Brighton Ski Resort is set to redefine Utah’s ski industry with the debut of the new Crest 6, Dopplemayr’s first D-line six person lift in Utah.
Boasting unrivaled efficiency, this cutting-edge detachable chairlift promises to revolutionize the skiing experience for visitors during the 2023-24 season.
The new D-line chairlift will expand the resort’s capacity, reducing lift lines and wait times. In addition, the D-line is much faster than the previous chairlift, cutting down travel time by about three minutes.
“This one has a conveyor belt that you ski up on, and it gets your momentum going for when the chair comes around, so it is not as abrupt of a seat,” said Jared Winkler director of marketing at Brighton Resort. “The old chair was a four-person, this will be a six-person, and it will be used all year, from skiing in the winter to mountain biking etc., in the summer.”
While construction is still underway on the new Crest 6, Brighton Resort will be auctioning off the old Crest chairs from July 11 thru July 25. All money raised will be donated to the Kyle Mortensen Memorial Fund. Bidding can be done online here.
