Stio staff’s tried-and-true summer picks
PARK CITY, Utah — Stio’s Park City Mountain Studio is welcoming spring and summer with new and old staff-favorite products and best-sellers. The Stio staff is made up of like-minded locals that are hikers, bikers, campers, and workers, so their picks are a real testament to living the mountain lifestyle.
Men’s & Women’s OPR Line
The OPR (Old Pass Road) Trail Pant is a recent addition to the OPR line, made for biking. The fabric is four-way stretch with a DWR finish and a tailored fit so that they can ride with you on and off trail. OPR fabric is also brush-resistant for those close tree and shrub encounters, highly breathable, and sweat-wicking.
“They are fantastic pants,” said Store Manager Holly Hemminger. “I wear them everywhere because they’re stretchy, comfortable, and they have great pockets. I wear them hiking, to work, and running errands. I will eventually wear them for biking once I get out there.”
Associate manager Aaron Green’s top choice is also the OPR Pant. Green is a biker and long-time fan of the OPR Short with a drawer-full at home to prove it, and now a fan of the OPR pant.
Crester Trail Tees
Technical and dynamic, the Crester Trail Tee, Polo, and women’s Tank wicks and cools quickly when logging miles or pounding out sweaty workouts. It comes in different cuts and fits for both men and women.
Crester fabric controls odor and improves thermoregulation. Floe™ fabric technology wicks moisture, dries quickly, and provides an anti-microbial treatment and UPF 15+ sun protection.
Hylas Line
Designed for those roaster days on the river, trail or rock when cloud cover is nothing but a fantasy, the Hylas Hooded Pullover is a versatile, highly protective sun hoodie that’s essential for mountain waterways and other high-exposure alpine playgrounds.
Breathable and quick-drying Helion™ fabric protects against high-altitude rays with UPF 50+ rating. Constructed with 90% nylon, 10% elastane, Helion™ offers lightweight, 4-way stretch ideal for activities on and off the water. Outfit the whole family, because the Hylas line comes in men’s, women’s, and kids’ crewneck and hooded styles.
“They’re our hottest seller shirt-wise right now,” Hemminger said.
Alpin Shirts
Another new addition to the Stio lineup are the men’s lightweight Merino Alpin shirts. Class it up in the Alpin Short-Sleeve Polo and keep it casual with the Alpin SS Pocket Tee.
Perfectly suited to relaxed bike rides, after-work hikes or weekend escapes to the mountains, this tee is crafted from an exceptionally soft and slightly stretchy merino wool blend for the best in moisture management and long-lasting comfort. Wool’s naturally odor-resistant qualities ease trail-to-town transitions and minimize the need for washing.
These are a community favorite and must-have for this spring’s consistent showers. Built with GORE-TEX’s lightest and most breathable 3L Active technology, this jacket is made with 100% recycled nylon that’s comfortable on skin and GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY™, shedding the elements while allowing sweat vapor to escape.
CFS Board Shorts and Pants
A beloved favorite with proven performance, the CFS Board Short is built for more than just basking in the sun, although its UPF 50+ certainly helps. Newly updated to 88% recycled reSphero™ HO stretch poplin, this is a durable poly/spandex blend with a DWR finish that’s abrasion-resistant, sheds water and provides the mobility for any summer adventure.
Men’s CFS shorts come in an 18.5″ and 21.5″ inseam and women’s 4″ inseam. The CFS line also comes in men’s and women’s pants.
Men’s Coburn Line
The Coburn line comes in shorts and pants that are as comfortable and classy as they are technical, the Coburn line goes from work to play seamlessly.
Featuring stretchy Tetonic Twill™ fabric with a gusseted, articulated fit for uninhibited motion, the Coburn offers the look and feel of a classic casual pant with the technical capabilities needed for the wide-ranging days of life in the mountains.
