Sundance Institute announces dates for the 2024 Sundance Film Festival

PARK CITY, Utah — The Sundance Institute has unveiled the 2024 Sundance Film Festival dates as January 18-28, 2024.

This year marks the festival’s 40th anniversary, and will feature both in-person and online availability for attendees to view.

Among the many types of films that will be available are feature films, short films, episodic, and storytelling from the innovative New Frontier. While ticket pass and package information won’t be available until closer to the festival, lodging bookings are available.

In addition to announcing the dates, the institute is now accepting entries from filmmakers. Feature films will have an early entry deadline of August 11, an official deadline of September 4, and a late deadline of September 25. Short films will have an early submission deadline of July 31, an official deadline of August 18, and a late entry deadline of September 4.

Entries for the Episodic category will have an early entry deadline of August 7, an official deadline of September 1, and a late submission deadline of September 18. For New Frontier films, submissions will have an early deadline of August 4, an official deadline of August 21, and a late deadline of September 1.
