Park City and Heber Valley Hospitals make top 100 lists
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Intermountain’s Park City and Heber Valley Hospitals have both been ranked on national top 100 lists by the Chartis Center for Rural Health.
Park City Hospital was ranked by Chartis as one of America’s Top 100 Best Rural and Community Hospitals, alongside 6 other hospitals in Utah.
According to a press release from Intermountain Healthcare, the Park City Hospital made the list because of the specialized care and services that it offers. Many of these programs are not often found in rural facilities.
“A recognition like this demonstrates to our community they can count on our hospital and caregivers and know when they walk in our doors, they’ll receive exceptional care without having to drive elsewhere,” Wing Province, medical director for Intermountain Park City Hospital, said in a press release.
Heber Valley Hospital was ranked by Chartis on its list of Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals, one of only two hospitals in Utah to receive this designation.
“We have the advantage of being part of a strong healthcare system while still being focused on our local community members to provide personalized care to the patients we care for,” Si Hutt, administrator of Intermountain Heber Valley Hospital, said in a press release. “Because of the individualized care and attention to quality that our caregivers and physicians give, I’m not surprised at all that our hospital is one of the best in the country based on objective data.”
Chartis’s top 100 lists are created using a proprietary index to evaluate and measure hospitals based on key performance areas.
