Play as a partner on RSL/Special Olympic’s Unified Soccer Team
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Real Salt Lake (RSL) announced on February 15 that RSL Unified will be returning for its eighth season and is hosting tryouts for the 2023 season.
The program is dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competitive experiences. Unified Sports joins people with intellectual disabilities (the athletes) with people without intellectual disabilities (the partners)
RSL is excited to again offer this co-ed opportunity for Utahns ages 16-25 to live out the dream of sporting the Claret-and-Cobalt at America First Field. The RSL Unified team is currently looking for athletes and partners to fill out its 2023 and 2024 rosters, with tryouts scheduled for February 25 and February 26 from 4-6 p.m. inside Zions Bank Training Center in Herriman, Utah (14787 Academy Parkway, Herriman).
Joining the RSL Unified team is a fully professional experience where players sign contracts with RSL, are outfitted in RSL kits, compete at a home match at America First Field, and then travel with the first team to an away match.
Unified sports work and play in conjunction with the Special Olympics.
The RSL Unified program is entirely free to participants through the RSL Foundation and Mountainland Supply.
