Park City gymnasts compete in international East Coast meet

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Ecker Middle School student Ella Gilotti was named All Around Champion in her division at the international Excalibur Cup gymnastics competition held last Saturday and Sunday at the Convention Center in Virginia Beach, VA.

Gilotti trains and travels with Park City’s Black Diamond Gym. There were 25 states and 10 countries represented at the event.

Her father Trevor, a 5th-grade teacher at Jeremy Ranch Elementary told TownLift, “I’m so proud of not only my daughter but the entire team of Park City gymnasts, they had a fun time.”

He also explained that the team had a good laugh about how some of the athletes had hoped that going to a city with the word ‘beach’ in its name, even in February, would have provided more of an actual beach opportunity than this trip did.
