Deer Valley to unveil Burns Express chairlift on Feb. 3
PARK CITY, Utah — Deer Valley Resort announced today that it will unveil its new Burns Express chairlift at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, February 3.
According to a press release from the resort, the new lift will provide another way for skiers to move out of the base area and give beginner skiers direct access to some of the more novice runs on Deer Valley’s Little Baldy Mountain.
The Burns Express chairlift is the final project funded by the $6 million capital investment in Deer Valley’s learning area for the 2022-2023 ski season.
“The overall redesign of Deer Valley’s Wide West beginner area has greatly improved the experience for both the skiing public as well as students in Ski School,” Rob Sogard, VP of Skier Services, said in a press release. “Now, when skiers are ready to advance from the learning area, Burns Express will provide a smoother transition to some of the easiest green runs on the mountain.”
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the top of Wide West ski run behind Snow Park Lodge. Resort guests and community members are invited to attend.
