PCSS’s Town Series community ski events at UOP begin
PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Ski and Snowboard (PCSS) Town Series’ first race is coming up on Friday, January 27.
Registration is filling up quickly—reserve individual or team spots here.
All races are held at the Utah Olympic Park (UOP).
Races are scheduled for Fridays:
- January 27
- February 17
- March 10
- March 24
Alpine downhill and uphill skimo options are offered for this series which is open to all ages and abilities.
Times:
- Check-in is at 5:00 p.m., and races start at 6:00 p.m.
Cost:
- $40 skimo individual, $45 alpine individual
Town Series training nights are new this season, held every Wednesday before each Friday’s race. With celebrity coaches and athletes at each of the four training sessions. Former US Ski Team Men’s Head Coach Forest Carey will be coaching at the first session on Wednesday, January 25th, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the UOP. Carey comes to PCSS with 14 years of coaching U.S. Ski & Snowboard athletes, including Bode Miller, Ted Ligety, Tommy Ford, and Ryan Cochran-Siegel. Carey also won Coach of the Year by US Ski & Snowboard for the 2021-2022 season.
“This unique opportunity will give you exclusive access to rub elbows and chat skiing with some of the best coaches and athletes in the country, all while getting to experience the Utah Olympic Park’s training hill and great prep before Friday’s race in a small group environment,” said PCSS Executive Director Christie Hind in a statement.
All proceeds from the events help provide funding for PCSS athletes, coaches, and programming.
