PARK CITY, Utah — It’s another day of snowfall and pow skiing for skiers and boarders, but with several significant additions. Park City Mountain Resort announced several openings on Wednesday, including the Iron Mountain Express Gondola, Timberline Lift, Quicksilver Gondola, Flat Iron lift, and Transitions Terrain Park. All corresponding terrain from those lifts will also be open.
Park City Mountain Resort has received a foot of snow in the last 24 hours, with 4 inches falling overnight. The resort has received 141 inches of snow since opening day and has a 55-inch snow base.
Adding these four lifts brings the number to 30 of the 44 lifts across the resort now open, along with 182 trails. The open terrain equates to 52% of all terrain at the resort.
Like many transplants to Utah, Kevin started his journey to Park City as a ski instructor in 2014 and fell in love with the mountains enough to stay. A skier since the age of 2 and a half, he still gets excited about carving turns down the slopes and hopping into the powder on snow days.
Kevin's passion for storytelling and photography led him to a second bachelor's degree focused on communications and fine art photography from the University of Utah. Paired with his first undergrad in ecology from Oklahoma State University, Kevin particularly enjoys writing environmental and nature stories. In his spare time, you can usually find him in his jeep looking for wildlife and landscapes to photograph.
