Jr. High Geography class hosts Migration Panel discussion
PARK CITY, Utah — Treasure Mountain Jr. High School ninth grade geography teacher Pete Stoughton invited six locals in to speak with students about their international journeys on Friday.
Approximately 50 ninth graders were treated to a panel discussion for some real life anecdotes to the lessons Mr. Stoughton has been teaching. They’ve been studying the factors that contribute to why people have left their homes to make Park City their new homes.
Stoughton told TownLift, “We were honored to have community members for various local organizations join us to share their stories.”

Stoughton brings a depth and breadth of knowledge to his new position with the Park City School District, after getting his second Masters in Education degree, he’s spent years working very closely with multiple community nonprofits.
