Celebrate beginning of Fall with Hike For Hunger by the Christian Center at the Canyons
PARK CITY, Utah — Join the Christian Center of Park City (CCPC)‘s 12th annual Hike for Hunger on Saturday, September 17 at Canyons Village at Park City Mountain. Hike for Hunger is an outdoor adventure event that raises awareness of hunger and food insecurities in Summit and Wasatch Counties.
Participants will enjoy CCPC SWAG bags, CCPC t-shirts included in registration, a Tolbert Gelato Bar, Urban Sailor Coffee from a sidecar motorcycle, resort avalanche dogs, live music, cabriolet rides from parking, gondola rides to mountain top, and two different hikes available at top of the mountain.
“Please, optionally bring some donated food for our Pantry as well,” said Rob Hearter, CCPC Executive Director in a statement. Use this link to purchase tickets for the event which are $39 – $59.
The CCPC distributed 800,000 lbs. of food to families in Summit and Wasatch counties in 2020. “Donations to the food pantries and our annual Hike for Hunger event support our food pantry operating costs and allow us to serve thousands of local families every year,” Hearter said.
Hike for Hunger is one of the most popular ways to spend a late-fall Saturday afternoon in Park City each year. Ride the Red Pine Gondola up to mid-mountain and a scenic hike, then head back to Canyons Village for the reggae sounds of Smiling Souls, learn more about food insecurity, and enjoy refreshments and activities.
