Man in custody after reportedly stalking in Kamas

KAMAS, Utah. — Summit County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence after a woman had complained of receiving harassing calls and emails from her husband throughout the evening that suggested he was stalking her.

As it currently stands, The woman has a temporary protective order that has been served on the 35-year-old male, preventing harassment and stalking.

Shortly after deputies arrived, the male called the woman asking about his children and “the other man in the home”.  Additionally, there were also multiple messages from the male that suggested he may have been in the area watching the woman and what she was doing.

South Jordan PD was contacted for an agency assist and were able to locate the male, and take him into custody. A deputy met South Jordan officers, transferred custody, and transported him to the Summit County Jail. Probable Cause was then approved, and the male is currently being held without bail.
