Former Park City Municipal staffer joins Deer Valley planning team
PARK CITY, Utah — Deer Valley Resort announced Monday that Hannah Tyler is its new vice president of resort planning.
Tyler is a graduate of Park City Leadership Class 25, and formerly served as the senior land use planner and community development special projects manager at Park City Municipal. She also is a former member of the Park City Historical Society’s Glenwood Cemetery Board and the Preservation Utah Historic Properties Committee.
She later left the city to start her own firm, CUTBOW Development + Consulting, which specialized in advisement on land use entitlements, real estate and community development, and municipal land use planning. She worked on many local projects, including Deer Valley’s Snow Park Village, Sommet Blanc in Empire Pass, and several residential and commercial development projects in the Park City area.
“Hannah’s experience in land use policy paired with her deep knowledge of the resort and town made her the ideal candidate and we are thrilled to have her join the Deer Valley team,” said Interim Resort President and Alterra Mountain Company COO Mark Brownlie.
“Her local planning expertise is a valuable contribution, especially during such a monumental time in the resort’s history as we work to complete Deer Valley’s visionary 40-year master plan and create a modern and convenient world-class base area at Snow Park.”
Tyler earned her Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning and Master of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Utah.
She currently is the vice-chair of the City of San Clemente’s Planning Commission and is looking forward to returning to Park City with her family.
