Fixin’ to have a good time: NAC Barn Party
PARK CITY, Utah. – It’s time to get out your (line) dancing shoes for the National Ability Center’s (NAC) annual Barn Party fundraiser for its equestrian program on June 4 from 4:00 to 9:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Round Valley Ranch and Equestrian Center.
This event is kid-friendly with face painting, a petting zoo, a photo booth, and the popular mechanical bull for the older kids and folks. The evening will have alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a barbecue buffet, a live auction, raffle drawings, a show featuring an equestrian program participant, live music, and line dancing with caller.
Prior to COVID, the NAC’s equestrian program saw over 7,000 participants of all abilities and skill levels.
The fundraiser benefits the NAC’s equestrian program by aiding its generous scholarship fund for participants and housing, feeding, and caring for the horses. Each year the NAC spends $205,000 to care for their horses. The Barn Party also celebrates staff, volunteers, participants, and families learning “I Can,” when perhaps they were told they couldn’t.
All tickets and sponsorships are still available for purchase. Table sponsor spots are still open; a table seats ten people for $2,000. Individual general admission tickets are $65 per person and a kids (12 and under) ticket is $30. Support from afar by sponsoring a horse and a rider or donate.
The NAC Barn Party has room for 550 guests and supporters, whether you’re looking for a family fun time or to check out the NAC’s campus and what they’re all about.
The Barn Party was unable to happen in person in 2020, here’s a video from that year.
