Utah Jazz set to host 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend
SALT LAKE CITY — With the conclusion of the 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, the Utah Jazz will begin preparing to host the weekend event next season for the first time since 1993.
Back in 2019, under the management of the Miller family, the Utah Jazz was awarded the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend during a press conference with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
“It’s an honor to be here, and it’s my honor to announce that the 2023 All-Star Game will take place in Salt Lake City,” Silver said during the press conference back in 2019. “Big-time events and sports are part of the DNA of this state and part of this city. So many important NBA events, Finals have taken place over the years here. It’s a tremendous partnership we have between the city and the state, the Utah Jazz organization and the league.”
Now, roughly three years later, new Utah Jazz Owner Ryan Smith and the organization previewed the logo on Twitter with a video and image that included the design.

The All-Star logo design features an iconic mountain-scape with the Jazz note and the word “Utah.” It also hints at the team’s upcoming color scheme change, likely scheduled for next season, switching to black, yellow, and white.
In addition to the team’s video announcement, Smith also added a tweet of his own with an image of the logo on a basketball and stated,” It starts now. @NBAAllstar 2023 WELCOME TO UTAH! Jazz Nation is going to show how it’s done.”
