Full Winter Olympics coverage will be available on Peacock premium

NEW YORK — Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming platform, announced this week that the service’s premium tier ($4.99/mo.) will be offering the ability to live stream all of the coverage from the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.

Live coverage of every event will be available, including broadcast and cable television events.

In addition, to live competition streams across all 15 sports, premium tier customers will have access to full replays of all competition available immediately upon conclusion.

“As the streaming destination of the 2022 Winter Olympics, Peacock will offer the ultimate fan experience all in one place,” said Kelly Campbell, president of Peacock. “From every live event and gold medal moment to exclusive daily shows, channels, and original documentaries, viewers will be able to easily catch up and keep up on all the action throughout the Games with our comprehensive Olympics hub on Peacock.”

The Opening Ceremony takes place on Friday, Feb. 4, with competition coverage beginning two days prior on Wednesday, Feb. 2, and NBC’s first primetime show on Thursday, Feb. 3. The Games conclude on Sunday, Feb. 20, with the Closing Ceremony.

Hollywood Reporter — “According to research from Antenna Data, the Tokyo Olympics were the biggest paid sign-up driving event for Peacock up to that date, driving 151 percent more paid sign-ups than The Office, and 108 percent more than WWE WrestleMania.”
