Calls for service: Police and sheriff logs
Calls for service to the Park City Police Department (PCPD) and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) for the week of January 10 – 16.
MONDAY:
- PCPD – Officers arrested a man for fraudulent identification, unlawful consumption, and false information after he was contacted by police while leaving a bar on Main Street.
- SCSO – Several vehicles had windows smashed out in the parking lot near Whole Foods by an unknown suspect.
TUESDAY:
- PCPD – A woman contacted officers to report that she had hit a car with her car in a parking lot off Bonanza Drive. She had the license plate number of the car she hit and wanted assistance in tracking the car down. There were no injuries reported.
WEDNESDAY:
- SCSD – In the Silver Summit/Highland Estates neighborhood, an unlocked car was broken into, and ski equipment was stolen.
- SCSO – In the Silver Summit/Highland Estates neighborhood, two unlocked cars were broken into at one property, and multiple items were stolen.
- SCSO – In the Silver Summit/Highland Estates neighborhood, an unlocked car was broken into, and multiple items were stolen.
- SCSO – In the Silver Summit/Highland Estates neighborhood, an unlocked car was broken into, and a mountain bike and stereo were stolen.
- SCSO – In the Silver Summit/Highland Estates neighborhood, an unlocked car was broken into, the garage door opener was stolen and utilized to open the garage, and a mountain bike was stolen.
THURSDAY:
- SCSO – At the Park City Bread and Bagel, an employee left his 2003 Honda running while momentarily running inside. When he came back outside, the car had been stolen.
- SCSO – At the Canyon Creek Apartments, a 2011 Audi was stolen.
- SCSO – At the Canyon Creek Apartments, 2004 Toyota was stolen.
- SCSO – At the Canyon Creek Apartments, a car was broken into, and a wallet was stolen.
- SCSO – Near the Best Buy, a third-party witness called in a fight in progress. A Las Vegas man in his 30s and an Oakley man in his 70s got into an altercation. Following an investigation, it was determined that the older individual was the aggressor.
FRIDAY:
- PCPD – A driver was pulled over on S.R. 248 telling the officer that they saw signs for busses to pass and thought it was legal to drive in that lane.
- PCPD – Officers were alerted to an ‘unruly rider’ on public transit.
SATURDAY:
- SCSO – On Highland Dr., a car was pulled over for speeding and swerving. The driver, a Kamas man in his 30s, showed signs of impairment and performed poorly on roadside tests. A search revealed a vape pen which he stated contained THC and open containers. He was transported to the Summit County Jail and arrested on DUI charges.
SUNDAY:
- SCSO – On Highland Dr., a car crashed into the guard rail. The driver, a Heber City man in his 50s, and the passenger were unconscious and breathing when deputies arrived. The driver was cleared by medical, but the passenger, a Heber City woman in her 50s, was transported to the hospital. The driver showed signs of impairment but refused to conduct roadside tests. He was subsequently arrested for a revoked license, alcohol restricted driver, interlock restricted driver, and suspicion of DUI.
