Salt Lake City Summer League is on
SALT LAKE CITY — This week, the Utah Jazz, San Antonio Spurs, and Memphis Grizzlies will showcase their young talent at Vivint Arena in downtown Salt Lake City.
The Summer League event is in its sixth year in Salt Lake. The three-day attendance in 2019 was 29,469. The high was in 2018 at 33,884.
The Jazz will have both a Blue and White team. Despite drafting guard Jared Butler in the draft via trade, Utah will be unable to use him this week because of the logistics of the swap.
Despite being unable to play, Butler is beginning to feel at home in Utah. “At the end of the day, I think this is where I’m supposed to be,” Butler said on a media zoom call.“It was a rough night for me … but when the Jazz called me, I was just extremely thankful.”
Udoka Azubuike, Trent Forrest, Matt Mooney, and Devonte Green are some of the names suiting up for the Jazz.
Memphis will feature Xavier Tillman, Olivier Sarr, and Killian Tillie.
The Spurs will have Joe Wieskamp, Skal Labissiere, and Tre Jones.
