UAC Backcountry Benefit to be held Sep. 9
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The 28th Annual Utah Avalance Center (UAC) Backcountry Benefit will be taking place on Thursday, September 9 from 6-10 p.m. at the Black Diamond parking lot in Salt Lake City (2084 East 3900 South).
Uinta Brewing and Dented Brick Distillery will be sourcing the drinks, and Herban Empire will be the music for the night.
There will also be a silent auction. The auction will be conducted through GiveSmart, a program that allows you to bid even if you can’t attend the event.
All proceeds from the event will go towards avalanche forecasting and education funding.
You can purchase tickets here.
The UAC has two other events to round out the year:
- Utah Snow and Avalanche Workshop, November 9-11, 6-9 p.m. — The program serves to foster avalanche education and is a great opportunity to advance your snow skills.
- Avalance Awareness Week, December 5-12 — There will be events going on throughout the state. More details will be announced in the fall.
