Farmer’s Market Spotlight: Smith’s Orchard
The Smith family has five generations of fruit tree expertise. Their ancestors carried seeds across the country to settle in Utah and planted the Provo-based orchard. Throughout the summer, Jinny and Scott Smith and their daughter Alice Overson sell delectable stone fruit, including various; cherries, plums, apricots, nectarines, and famous peaches.
“I love being around people who really care about what they eat. They want the nutrition, and they love the joy of fresh produce as well,” Jinny says.
