Gov. appoints Summit County prosecutor to Utah Board of Pardons
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah. — The Summit County Attorney’s Office announced that one of its team members, Prosecutor Blake R. Hills, has been appointed by Governor Spencer Cox to a 4-year term as a member of the Utah Board of Pardons.
Mr. Hills will bring 23 years of experience in prosecution to the board. Hills has worked as a prosecutor, scholar, and minister of justice in the Utah court system.
“I am extremely humbled and honored that Gov. Cox has selected me to be a member of the Board of Pardons and Parole,” Hills said. “I look forward to serving the community with integrity and professionalism.”
The commission will be accepting written comments from the public; the comments can be sent to judicialvacancies@utah.gov. After the public comment period, Governor Spencer Cox will have 30 days to make an appointment.
