Summit County Artists Showcased Virtually
PARK CITY, Utah. — The Winter Arts Showcase hosted by the Arts Council of Park City and Summit County , which features local Utah artists, is all virtual this year and runs through Feb. 28. The event launched on Feb. 13 with a Facebook Live event where six artists spoke about their artistic process (video below).
“We can all agree as either artists, art enthusiasts, art supporters, we know that art remains to be a connection, a common thread that binds us, making us feel hope, making us feel inspired, connected,” said Jocelyn Scudder, executive director of the Arts Council, in the video. “And so, that’s really why the Arts Council art team in collaborations with the Professional Artists Association, we knew that it was really important to host the show this year even if we couldn’t do it in person.”
Visit CreatePC.org to browse all the art online and explore select artists’ work. Artists receive 100 percent of proceeds from the sales on the site.
