Serve Park City Day connects volunteers with dozens of local nonprofits

PARK CITY, Utah — Residents and visitors can volunteer with dozens of local nonprofit organizations Saturday, Sept. 19, as part of Serve Park City Day.
A centralized registration page allows volunteers to browse participating organizations, review available projects and sign up for service opportunities. Registration is required, and spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

“While 9/11 is a powerful day to serve, our hope is that the spirit of unity and service continues all year long,” Karen Marriott, a longtime Park City resident who founded the organization two years ago, said in a statement. “Through Serve Park City, individuals and families can find opportunities to serve our community every day.”
Serve Park City Day expands the national 9/11 Day of Service. TownLift previously reported that this year’s event includes 44 community projects.
In 2024, Serve Park City Day drew approximately 900 volunteers to 30 service projects with more than 25 local nonprofits. In 2025, approximately 1,200 volunteers participated in 35 projects across the community.
Participating groups include both established local nonprofits and smaller organizations seeking additional volunteers and community support.
Volunteers are invited to gather at City Park at 8 a.m. for a free breakfast provided by The Market, Hill Top Hospitality, Julie Hopkins Real Estate, and Lucky One’s Coffee. A short 9/11 remembrance program will follow and is expected to include the Summit County Sheriff’s Posse and bagpipes.
After the morning’s service projects, volunteers can return to City Park for a pizza party provided by Park City Domino’s and cookies from Aunt Em’s.
Those unable to participate on Saturday can also donate in support of the event.
