Park City to replace two aging bridges along McLeod Creek Path

PARK CITY, Utah — Two pedestrian and bicycle bridges along McLeod Creek Path will close for construction in the coming months as Park City Municipal works to replace aging infrastructure.
The path at the bridge near the Park Avenue Post Office and another near Fire Station 31 and Creekside Bike Park could close as early as Wednesday, according to city staff.
A signed detour will be in place to direct trail users around the construction areas during the closures.
Installation of the new bridges is scheduled for mid-November, and city staff are aiming to reopen the path and bridges for winter use in December.
Final construction work, including pathway tie-ins, paving, and restoration, may continue into spring 2027, with temporary closures as needed.
The construction schedule could change depending on weather, site conditions, bridge delivery, and other factors.
